Giorgia Zanellato and Daniele Bortotto studied in Venice at IUAV but only met in Lausanne, Switzerland, where they both studied at ECAL. Their first collaboration was the Acqua Alta Collection, launched at the Salone Satellite in Milan in 2013. The project stood-out right away, starting a research project which continues even today.

Giorgia and Daniele founded the Zanellato/Bortotto Studio in Treviso, Italy, in 2015, and they now collaborate with several Italian and International brands like Rubelli, Moroso, Alcantara and Florim among others. Their work has been exhibited in galleries and museums such as MAXXI Rome, Triennale Design Museum and the Poldi Pezzoli Museum.
