The Owl was designed in 1960 and is a charming handcrafted sculpture made from Danish oak with wenge wood surrounding the eyes. It has a mobile head that rotates to reveal new expressions – wonder, contemplation or curiosity are just a few of the expressions of this wise creature.
Paul Anker Hansen's Owl has become an icon of mid 20th century design and continued to be loved by a new generation today. It was originally produced by Theodor Skjøde Knudsen in his artisan factory Skjode Skjern, today it is produced under license in Denmark by Architectmade
