Platå Tray

The Platå Tray is made from a single piece of ash wood. The simple, raised platform offers a dedicated space for displaying possessions. Anderssen & Voll describe the design as ‘a secular relative to an altar … a place for your favourite things.’ Platå also makes a fascinating decorative item by itself.
Platå’s unique shape takes inspiration from wooden moulds that have been traditionally used for making hats, shoes and gloves – Anderssen & Voll got the idea from an old mitten mould they saw in Hancock Shaker Village, Massachusetts. The asymmetrical gesture of the tray mimics a hand presenting items.
