Danish light master Svend Aage Holm-Sørensen's Opal Shade pendant, designed in the 1950s is the origin of this design, which Warm Nordic have adapted to this unique way of using the design, without the shade. Svend Aage Holm-Sorensen
Danish designer Svend Aage Holm Sørensen (1913 – 2004) is known for his self-produced lighting designs dating from the 1950s, ‘60s and ‘70s. As a licensed ornamental metalworker, Holm-Sørensen possessed an experimental, yet balanced understanding of materials. His passion for lighting design was evident wherever he was, he would sketch ideas on everything: envelopes, theatre programmes, even tram tickets.
