The Turning Tray was designed in 1956 by Finn Juhl, bearing his trademark curved teak frame, precise corner joints and playful use of colour. The original trays are on display at Juhl's house in Charlottenlund, Denmark, which now serves as a museum.
Today the Turning Tray is handmade in Denmark by Architectmade. The design is free from handle bars and features a distinct curvature which makes it easy to pick up. Designed as dual-sided, it boasts two glossy laminate sides held together by carefully crafted corner joints.

The Designer /
Finn Juhl
Finn Juhl is one of Denmark’s most famous architects, known for his bold, sculptural forms and ultra-refined detailing. Juhl initially wanted to become an art historian and follow his passion for fine arts. His father, however, wouldn't allow a career in the arts and directed Juhl to enrol in the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Architecture in Copenhagen in 1930.
