Bliss Rug Collection

The Bliss Collection is a characterised by a sculptural and three-dimensional effect which was initially inspired by a sample that Mae Engelgeer created where she was experimenting with rounded shapes and curves. This came after a period of using straight graphic lines and feeling captured by them, Mae felt the need to use bold shapes again. Keeping the playfulness of the Memphis movement in mind and mixing elements like pattern and form with different production techniques give life to the rugs. The Ultimate Bliss, the last rug in the collection creates a sophisticated textile landscape with a variety of pile-heights created in Himalayan wool and pure silk, a design so dense you can, as the designer says, "get lost in the bliss."

The Maker /
CC-Tapis
Born in France, designed in Milan, and produced in Nepal, cc-tapis offers beautiful hand-crafted rugs from some of the world’s leading artists and designers. Each cc-tapis rug tells a story of tradition, quality and contemporary design. At the centre of these stories is a traditional production process where a group of Tibetan artisans work by hand, refining natural materials, passing down artisanal know-how from generation to generation.
The Designer /
Mae Engelgeer
Textile design has always been at the heart of Dutch designer Mae Engelgeer’s work, from her high school days to her studies at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute and Sandberg Instituut. Since opening her own studio in 2013, she has nurtured her curiosity for the craft, experimenting within the existing boundaries of textile production to elevate old techniques to a modern stage.
