These charming teak birds, each with there own character and personality were created in 1961 by Danish designer Svend Aage Holm-Sørensen. Not only was he a pioneer in the field of Nordic lighting design, he was also at home in the carpentry shop and Beak Birds is the endearing result of the designer’s experimental, creative approach to the world.
The Beak Birds were re-discovered recently in the attic of Svend Aage Holm-Sørensen’s family home. They now form part of his design legacy thanks to the close collaboration of Warm Nordic and his immediate family. These iconic birds will bring a smile to your face and add a Nordic touch to any modern décor.
Each bird is unique and finds its ultimate expression in the individual piece of quality teak wood. The appearance of teak varies greatly between pieces. It is a material that changes over the years, acquiring grace and patina.
