Bokk Bottle Opener

In Norwegian, Bokk is a type of dark and strong lager. Read as a phonetic transcription, Bokk could mean ‘A bend’ or simply ‘A Buck’.
The designer Sigve Knutson works in an intuitive way. Rather than being a bottle cap opener derived strictly from utility, Sigve views Bokk as a distinctive sculptural figurine that also happens to work very well for flipping off a bottle cap.

The Maker /
Nedre Foss
Norwegian brand Nedre Foss has cultivated a design direction founded in thoughtful, slow living. A curated set of home objects that are intended to be used and equally appreciated as sculptural pieces to enhance the everyday. Founded on the concept of the 'Century Product', the goal is to create objects that will last for at least 100 years and where utility and sculptural qualities are equal parts of the function.
The Designer /
Sigve Knutson
Sigve Knutson obtained an MA in Contextual Design at Design Academy Eindhoven in 2016. His practice is motivated by a fascination for the intuitive and playful rather than the smoothened and planned. Bokk is the first of Sigve’s objects ever to be industrialised.
